Fred and Mary   An Unconventional Romance
in July 2012
by
Micki Shelton
Directed by Kate Hawkes

Evenings at 7:30 PM:  july 7, 13, and 14
matinees at 2:00 pm, july 8 and 15
produced by: the elks opera house foundation

Sparkling with fire and wit, micki shelton's play fred
and mary re-imagines the relationship between ground
breaking architect mary jane colter and pioneering
hotelier fred harvey who, along with his "haravey
girls," has been credited with "civilizing" the west.
Straddling the border between historical and
alternate realities, their story is interwoven with the
beauty and culture of the indigenous
people of the southwest.
